Befriending Walls

"If only all the colors were just different shades of blue," I cried,
Speaking more to myself and not expecting the walls of the room to
answer.
"But then, you can't tell if someone's turned blue from blood loss,"
they replied,
And I patted the walls, glad they'd given me a new point to ponder.
